8mm Film Transfers and Tape Conversions
Allow D-Vision to preserve your old home movies. Rediscover the moments of your family’s history from days gone by. The majority of old film projectors are broken down in your attic or basement making it impossible and inconvenient to relive the past; we can resurrect these images for you and maintain your memories forever by transferring them to DVD. We will take your 8mm or Super 8mm films and transfer them to the most convenient format of DVD.
Our Film Transferring Process
When sending 8mm and super 8mm film, please make sure the 8mm and super 8mm film containers are numbered in order. Upon receipt of your order, our technicians will carefully inspect, clean and lubricate your film. Any damaged sections that will not run through our projectors will be cut out and the good ends spliced together.
After the film has been prepared we then mount the reels on our Goko Telecine 8mm/S8mm system. Our Gokos produce a non-flicker image by using a 24 multi-face optical glass prism, which synchronizes standar d 18 or 24 frames per second movie film speed to 30 frames per second of video. This process eliminates the roll bar or flutter associated with using a video camera to record the film projection off of a frosted movie screen. The image from the Goko projector is focused directly on the lens of the 3-chip Video camera in an aerial image system. We use a firewire to connect the camera to our digital video deck and transfer the images onto a mini-dv tape. This process means that there is never a loss of the digital signal and the quality of the original film is preserved and in many cases improved.
Once we have transferred your films to digital tape, we then can produce a DVD for you. All your materials will be returned to you in better condition than when we received them. Let D-Vision preserve your precious family memories for many generations to come.
Note: Of course, the quality of the transfer is dependent upon the quality of the film you provide us with. We can improve light & color, but cannot improve poor focus from the original material or restore the heads that were cut off! We reserve the right to refuse film that is severely damaged or in very poor condition.

Mike,
Just wanted to say "THANKS" for turning those films around so quickly!!! My in-laws 50th Anniversary party last night was a complete success...and more importantly...I was the hero! LOL ;-)
I was really happy with the results...I've had this done before, and yours were better quality...
I'll let you know next time I crawl into an attic! Take care!

Hi Bonnie,
I just watched the video and it's only one (1) hour long. I was really happy with the results...I've had this done before, and yours were better quality...
I cried! It's amazing how great these movies are...so many people are gone but they live on forever on these home movies. This tape began when I was baptized ---- 59 years ago and ends with my wedding -- 33 years ago. The only thing that scared me of these older videos was the film breaking....then it's gone!
Enjoy! And thanks again for your help!

Mike,
Just wanted to tell you I gave out for the holiday's the 4 copies of the DVD you made for me.
My two brother's and two cousin's thought the DVD was great! Thank you so much for all your work and care in producing the DVD from the priceless 8mm. My two cousins have some 8mm's of their own and I recommended they contact you.
Thanks again,
Ginny Kintzing
